Bakuriani is a popular ski resort in central Georgia, located on the northern slopes of the Trialeti Mountains at the foot of Mount Kochta. Originally conceived as a training center for Olympic athletes, Bakuriani is now one of Georgia's most popular winter sports resorts, offering year-round recreation. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Bakuriani also offers opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The nearby ski resorts of Didveli and Kochta are well-developed with lifts and slopes.
